Jamila is excited to continue her work as a dedicated civil servant. When she was called to serve Norristown Area schools and East Norriton Township it was because she wanted to do more to contribute to the challenges facing her neighbors.

The important work the Register of Wills office does and the opportunity it has to create programming and processes to support not deter residents is inherently personal to Jamila. Her desire to want to help MONTCO residents in this capacity was born from her experience caring for her elderly parents both of whom did not fully understand the importance of estate planning and what happens when you die without a will.

Very quickly she realized, her parents were not alone and that she could leverage the work she has done educating adults and establishing partnerships to bring programming to MONTCO that helps all residents but especially in underserved communities.

Not only does education and programming need to be a key role of the ROW but the office needs an experienced management professional who know how to run complex organizations, improve processes, manage talent, is technically astute, and leads with service at the forefront. The current office has 16 employees, annual expenses of 1.5M and revenues of 3M.
